Access Description: The site is accessible by following the Firesand River bush road south from hwy 101 for approximately 8 km and then by overland traverse to the east for a distance of about 1 km.
1900:claims staked and transferred to E. V. Clergue. 1926: property staked and surveyed but no work conducted.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Two iron formations cut across the Dill River and these are believed to host the Laccolith Claims. Three separate zones of iron formation have been observed. The Se side consists of quartz,pyrite, pyrrhotite and arsenopyrite. The central section consists of quartz,mariposite and pyrite and the NW side consists of cherty silica, magnetite, pyrite and pyrrhotite. Well mineralized felsic, siliceous tuffs have also been observed in the area. Mapping by Sage in 1982 did not locate any of these iron formations. Descriptions of this occurrence resemble those of the Gibson iron claims in NE McMurray township and may be related to the Firesand River carbonatite complex.
