Access Description: Drive south from highway 101 along the Surluga Road to the Wawa Snoriders trail. Walk eastward along the skidoo trail to the Cooper Mine site (2.5 km). From there, traverse north for approximately 1 km.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The Gulch Zone is associated with a strong topographic low which originates near the west end of Stanley Lake. This lineament can be traced NNE for approximately a half mile. This structure meets Wawa lake at a point very close to the Hillside Gold Mines lake Adit. The Gulch Zone is simlar to the Jasper Vein or Zone that hosts the former Mackey Point Mine.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The zone is located near the eastern margin of the Jubilee Stock. It lies within a contact zone between a heavily brecciated sequence of the Jubilee Stock and intermediate to felsic metavolcanics. Gold mineralization is associated with veins, stringers and boudines within a narrow shear zone.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Anomalous gold values in the 0.05 to 0.06 oz/t Au range occur over the entire strike length of the zone. These values are erratically distributed. The central section of the zone has the best gold values ranging from 0.205 to 0.308 oz/t Au.
