Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Elevated gold values were obtained from a sequence of felsic to intermediate metavolcanic rocks, flanked on both sides by mafic metavolcanic rocks. Sills of gabbro-diorite are prevalent to the south. These rocks exhibit pyrite, sericite, crbonate and chlorite alteration. Narrow quartz stringers and veinlets returned elevated gold values. In the vicinity of the showing, the quartz veins are folded into lenses.
