Point Location Description: Shaft just south of old power line 0.5 km SE of turnoff to Municipal Dump
Location Method: AMIS Site Visit
Access Description: High Falls Road 0.1 kilometers past the Michipicoten landfill site, to another bush road. This bush road is followed for 442 meters to a power line. The shaft is located approximately 137 meters past the power line.
1900: Corona Mining Company Limited - 6' x 8' x 60' shaft excavated on a vein. 1963: Consolidated Bellekeno Mines Ltd. - mapping, ground geophysical surveys 1968: B. Carleton - 2 ddh (584 ft). 1979-83: Canabec Explorations Ltd. - ground geophysical surveys, sampling, 2 ddh (263.5 ft). 1984: Golden Pond Resources - mapping, sampling, ground geophysical survey.

May 27, 2015 (A Wilson) - The shaft was sunk on an outcrop described variously as sulphide-rich clastic sediments and sheared intermediate metavolcanic rocks. The metavolcanic rocks have been sheared and are now composed of sericite and chlorite. The quartz veins are up to 4 feet wide and consist of blue quartz with blebs of pyrrhotite, pyrite, chalcopyrite, red sphalerite and arsenopyrite. Diamond drilling intersected four zones of mineralization consisting of finely disseminated pyrite, pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite, and arsenopyrite in banded cherts and carbonate.

May 27, 2015 (A Wilson) - A grab sample from the muck pile near the shaft returned an assay of 0.06 oz/t Au; and a grab sample from a trench to the east of the shaft returned an assay of 0.02 oz/t Au.
