Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The property is underlain by a sequence of mafic to intermediate tuffs and massive sills. Gold mineralization is concentraed in a series of en echelon quartz veins. The shallow-dipping, NE-trending mineralized veins transect a zone of weakly mineralized quartz-carbonate veins that are concordant with the regional SE-striking foliation. The zone consists of a 3-4 m wide section of vertical quartz veins and stringers, which are contained within an intensely sericitized, carbonatized and silicified host rock. The degree of alteration obscures host rock identification.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Hand-cobbed ore mined from the vein in the 1930's averaged between 1.0 and 2.0 oz/t Au. Assay values from grab samples collected by Erie Canadian returned values ranging between $0.40 to $1.60 Au/t from the schistose host rocks and from $0.80 to $19.20 Au/t in the quartz vein. Grab samples collected by Algoma Ore Properties in 1944 returned values of 1.58 oz/t Au and3.47 oz/t Au.
