Lithology

Lithology Data
Rock Type Rank Composition Texture Relationship
Ironstone-unsubdivided 1 Graphitic Schist Host
Mafic lava flow-unsubdivided 2 Pillowed, Massive Near

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The predominant lithology is mafic pillowed and massive metavolcanics rocks. These contain narrow sulphidic horizons. Intermediate and felsic pyroclastic rocks are exposed on the southern edge of the claim group. At depth the mafic metavolcanics show talcose alteration. Cherty sulphidic tuff horizons, which may be laterally persistent for up to a few hundred metres are found in various places and may carry minor chalcopyrite and/or sphalerite.
