Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - This area is the Biscotasing arm of the Swayze greenstone belt and contains rocks that are highly strained and metamorphosed to amphibolite facies. Primary stratigraphic relationships are obscured. Rocks of this Biscotasing area appear to be a southwestward extension of the units exposed in Cunningham ad Blamey township areas.

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - These rocks appear to be the metamorphosed equivalents of finely-bedded argillite, quartzitic argillite, quartzite, greywack and possibly tuffs. They now consist of biotite quartzite, and various schists and gneisses. Mineralization is hosted in a lense of sulphides. Minor sulphide gossans have been observed along strike.

Mineralization Comments

Jun 18, 2013 (A Wilson) - Disseminated and massive lenses of pyrrhotite, pyrite and chalcopyrite are found conformable with the bedding and shearing of the metasediments. Minor quartz stringers occur in the zone. Only trace amounts of elements were obtained from assays. The best assay gave trace to 0.5% Mn, trace to 0.1% Co, trace Cu, trace Pb, trace Ni (GR007).
