Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The pillows and felsic clasts in the conglomerate are highly elongated and folded. Quartz veins are also boudinaged and folded. The folding is isoclinal with a mixture of M and S folds. The long limbs of the folds are oriented 115/75S.

Terrigenous-Clastic-Unsubdivided 3 Volcanoclastic Adjacent

Lithology Comments

Jun 30, 2016 (A Wilson) - The lithology largely consists of banded and foliated, dark green quartz chlorite schist. These schists are derived from pillowed mafic metavolcanics and finely bedded green arenites, plus some conglomerates. The epiclastic rocks have a volcanic provenance. There are a number of quartz-epidote or carbonate-chlorite veinlets discordant to the foliation. Discordant felsic dikes are also folded and attenuated.

Mineralization Comments

Jun 30, 2016 (A Wilson) - The mineralization is associated with a narrow zone of massive pyrrhotite containing trace amounts of pyrite, chalcopyrite and sphalerite. Adjacent to this zone is a metre wide zone of pyrrhotite plus some chalcopyrite occurring in bands and forming 2% of the rock. The best results from the drill hole were 0.35% Zn, 0.10% Cu, 1.5 g/t Ag and 0.05 g/t Au over 0.9 feet. Grab samples by prospectors in 1991 returned values of 0.8% Zn and 4.5 g/t Au from separate samples.
