Point Location Description: Diamond drill hole for hole B-77-3

Location Method: Data Compilation

Access Description: Take Dore Road north from the main haul road between the town of Sultan and Highway 144. A road heads east into Benton Twp from a point below the Wakami River in Garnet Twp. This road allows access to the Wakami River in Benton Twp. The showing is north of the Wakami River in north central Benton Township.

Exploration History

1974-77: Noranda Exploration conducted a ground magnetic and electromagnetic survey over an 18 claim block north of the Wakami River in north central Benton Township. Geophysics was followed up by one drill hole, the subject of this file, which intersected rhyolite to dacite with sections of semi-massive pyrite. Some of these mineralized sections returned weakly anomalous gold values. 1981: Benton Resources Inc. completed an airborne geophysical survey (EM and magnetometer). 1985: Noranda Exploration conducted a second ground magnetic and VLF survey over an area that included the 1977 drill hole. 2011: Cascadero Copper Corp. completed a geochemical soil sampling program and assays.

Lithology

Lithology Data
Rock Type Rank Composition Texture Relationship
Intermediate lava flow-unsubdivided 1 Dacite To Rhyolite Host

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K Houle) - Weakly anomalous gold values were found associated with rhyolite to dacite containing heavy pyrite mineralization returned from a drill hole. This unit is described as light grey coloured, fine grained to aphanitic, and siliceous. This unit is reported to have weak schistosity at a core angle of 60 degrees. Vesicular sections exist with voids filled with calcite. Pyrite mineralization occurs throughout the entire hole in varying concentrations.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K Houle) - Pyrite and pyrrhotite mineralization exists throughout the hole. Pyrite exists as extremely fine grained disseminates, narrow seams, pods, and semi-massive sections. Weakly anomalous gold values were found to be associated with some of the semi-massive sections of pyrite and pyrrhotite.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The best assay associated with this drill hole was 0.71 oz/t Au.

Sep 27, 2012 (P Bousquet) - The best assay associated with this drill hole was 0.02 oz/t Au.
