Geology Comments

Jun 30, 2016 (A Wilson) - The quartz veining parallels joints in the host porphyry. The foliation trends 90 º and dips 90º which is discordant to the trend of the jointing.

Mineralization Comments

Jun 30, 2016 (A Wilson) - There are two types of mineralization present, sparsely disseminate sulphides in the porphyry matrix and the massive to semi-massive sulphides associated with the quartz veins and joints. Within the porphyry, irregular medium-grained trails of chalcopyrite form up to 3% of the rock. This is associated with up to 5% very fine-grained pyrite occurring in the rock matrix. Adjacent to the quartz veins, which parallel joints and the foliation, very coarse grained, massive, discontinuous chalcopyrite veins occur. These veins are up to one cm thick and contain minor amount of galena and sphalerite. Also associated with these chalcopyrite veins are massive fine-grained pyrite veins. Most the quartz veins in the trenches are less than 5 mm thick and lean. Where the veins are thicker, they are multi-stage veins with hematite filled cavities. Some malachite is locally developed. The average assay from drill holes drilled by Osway Exploration is 0.2 g/t Au and 1.2 g/t Ag. Grab samples collected by the OGS in 1994 returned values of 0.75 g/t Au and 5.4 g/t Ag; 0.25 g/t Au and 1.3 g/t Ag. Samples from trenches at this location (1984) returned values of 1.74 g/t Au and 2.94 g/t Ag.
