Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Mineralization was reported as being located within fractures cutting the iron formation.

Lithology

Lithology Data
Rock Type Rank Composition Texture Relationship
Sulphide Ironstone 1 Sulphide-Facies Banded Iron Formation Host
Vein 2 Quartz Vein Host
Diorite 3 Diorite Near
Terrigenous-Clastic-Unsubdivided 4 Schistose Near

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The host rocks consist of schistose epiclastic rocks derived from conglomerates which are in contact with a diorite body to the south. Within the schistose sediments, are a number of narrow boudinaged magnetiferous chert beds. These beds are up to 40cm thick, a medium grey and contain small amounts of fine grained magnetite.

Mineralization Comments

Jun 28, 2016 (A Wilson) - It was reported that up to 25% sulphide occured in the chert banded iron formation. The only observed chert bed which had been sampled did not contain any visible sulphides. In the same area, there is a deformed and rotated quartz vein, which had been sampled. This vein contained sparsely disseminated pyrite. Bryndon Ventures reportedly obtained an assay of 1 g/t Au from the iron formation.

Jun 13, 2013 (P Bousquet) - More samples were taken from that area (T-5852), but none of them had higher assay than reported by Bryndon Ventures.
