Point Location Description: Granges drill hole GOG-1.
Location Method: Data Compilation
Access Description: The easiest access is via boat to the southwest end of Opeepeesway Lake and then about a 200 m traverse. Opeepeesway Lake is reach by taking a road north off of the main haul road between the town of Sultan and Highway 144 at about the 43 km mark.
1980: Kerr Addison Mines Ltd. conducted a ground magnetic, electromagnetic, and induced polarization survey over a block of 63 claims located southeast of the Northwest Arm of Opeepeesway Lake. Several anomalies were outlined and a 4 hole drill program, a total of 623 m, was completed. Drill hole KJ-80-3 reported low anomalous values of zinc and copper. 1982: Granges Exploration performed electromagnetic and magnetic surveys over several properties including claims optioned from Maverick Mountain Resources in south central Osway Township. Granges drilled 1 hole, GOG-1, on their GOG-8 grid located off the southwest shore of Opeepeesway Lake. The conductor was explained by graphitic schist with minor amounts of sphalerite, chalcopyrite, galena, and arsenopyrite (T-2661 / 63.4237). 1984: Benton Resources Inc. drilled 2 holes, for a total of 305 m, to the southwest of the Northwest Arm of Opeepeesway Lake in west central Osway Township. These holes are reported to have intersected primarily felsic to intermediate pyroclastics. 1985: Blue Falcon Mines Ltd. conducted an airborne magnetic and VLF electromagnetic survey over several townships including Osway Township. 1982-86: Hargor Resources Inc. completed several drill programs on properties in south central Osway Township below Opeepeesway Lake. A total of 12 holes were drilled over this period for a total of about 1012 m. 1988 Canadian Gold Resources drilled one hole for a total of 118 m on a four claim block in southwest Osway Township, just south of an old logging road. No anomalous assay values were reported with the drill logs. 1989: Pioneer Metals Corporation conducted an airborne magnetic and VLF survey over a 17 claim block in an area to the southwest of Opeepeesway Lake. 2007: Augen Gold Corp. performed aerial electromagnetic, aerial magnetic and aerial radiometric surveys (T-5671 / 2.37373). 2008: Augen Gold Corp. performed prospecting and assays (T-5852 / 2.40516). 2009-2010: Augen Gold Corp. performed ground electromagnetic, induced polarization and magnetic surveys (T-6122 / 2.46079).

Dec 07, 2005 (K Houle) - Isolated graphitic shears and breccia zone within a quartz-chlorite schist are reported to contain anomalous zinc values. The schist is described as being generally well banded and regular with isolated massive basalt and sheared/brecciated sections. Granges hole GOG-1 was drilled with a bearing due north and an initial dip of 60 degrees. The anomalous zones occur at drill depths of 191' (58.2 m) and 208' (63.4 m).

Dec 07, 2005 (K Houle) - Anomalous zinc value were reported to occur within a reworked graphite rich zone with 1-3% banded and disseminated pyrite. Sphalerite mineralization occurs within a brecciated zone as isolated sphalerite veinlets with associated minor galena and chalcopyrite. Another anomalous zone a little further down hole contains 0.5% sphalerite as discrete veinlets in quartz and calcite.
