Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The occurrence is described as mineralization within a chert-magnetite iron formation.

Dec 07, 2005 (Q Unknown) - The iron formation is dominated by intercalated chert and black argillite. Within the argillite chlorite, actinolite and sericite occur. Some thin trails of pyrite are associated with the iron formation.

Mineralization Comments

Feb 03, 2016 (A Wilson) - The best drill intersections from 1952 diamond drilling returned values of 1.63% Pb and 5.02% Zn over 60 feet, and 0.86% Pb and 2.51% Zn over 50.5 feet. The best trench sample assayed 2.02 oz/t Ag, 3.00% Cu, 5.25% Pb and 15.46% Zn over 30 inches. A grab sample collected by the OGS in 1980 returned a value of 5.18% Fe, 2.3% Zn, 0.82% Pb, 0.4% Cu and 4.46 g/t Au. Disseminated and thin, massive stringers of sphalerite with mineral galena and rare spects of malachite were observed in a 3 cm thick layer of chert.

Dec 07, 2005 (Q Unknown) - Veins of sphalerite, galena and some chalcopyrite cut the iron formation. Such veins are more dominant within the chert beds.
