Lithology Comments

Nov 06, 2007 (A Wilson) - The showing reportedly lies within a brecciated, cherty iron formation. The lowest unit of the sequence is a massive diorite. Overlying the diorite are argillite, graphitic phyllite and some sericite schist. These rocks are believed to be in fault contact with the lower diorite. These sediments are overlain by a dark grey chert. This chert hosts the majority of the mineralization in the area. A fine-grained variolitic mafic metavolcanic overlies the chert.

Nov 06, 2007 (Q Unknown) - The mineralization is hosted in iron formation.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Mineralization occurs within the matrix of breccia fragments. Sphalerite and galena mineralization cements light grey to dark greay chert fragments. A grab sample taken in 1970 by the OGS returned 3.35% Pb, 8.45% Zn and 0.05% Cd. Diamond drilling by Page-Harley Mines returned a 21 m section of 2.98% Zn and 0.68% Cu.

Dec 07, 2005 (Q Unknown) - The mineralization is disseminated in the iron formation or occurs in stringers.
