Feb 03, 2016 (A Wilson) - Disseminated and locally massive stringers of fine-grained sphalerite and lesser galena occur within chert. Galena is also present as a few cubic crystals. A composite chip sample collected in 1980 returned a value of 3.5% Fe, 3.0% Zn, 1.9% Pb, 780ppm Cu, 84 ppm Ni, 1.028 g/t Au, 7.199 g/t Ag. A grab sample taken by Anglo-Sudbury Mines returned a value of 0.21% Cu, 1.00% Pb and 5.79% Zn.
Dec 07, 2005 (Q Unknown) - The sphalerite, galena, and some chalcopyrite occur in pyrite horizons within the iron formation. Small calcite veins (<2inches) containing up to 50% sphalerite and galena.
