Point Location Description: DDH BL-84-1 collar location.

Location Method: Based on Assessment

Access Description: Access is off the main gravel road between Sultan and Highway 144. A secondary logging, known as the Blamey Road, heads north at a point about 10 km east of Sultan. Follow this road north for about 8 km where an overgrown logging will take you to the showing. The showing is approximately 700 m along this overgrown road north of the main road.

Exploration History

1966: Inco drilled three diamond drill holes, on EM targets, in the area of the Noranda Blamey 1-82 property. Inco intersected primarily metasediments, argillite and quartzite, as well as mafic to intermediate volcanics. 1982-83: Noranda Exploration Co. Ltd. staked the area of the showing after the release of a regional OGS airborne magnetic and EM survey. Noranda performed a ground horizontal loop EM and magnetic survey over the area, followed by a geological mapping program. During the mapping program Noranda discovered several old trenches. Grab samples from one of these trenches returned anomalous Cu, Zn, and Au values. 1984: Noranda drilled one diamond drill hole to the south, for a total depth of 157 m, on strike with the mineralization previously discovered in a trench. The drill hole intersected mafic to intermediate flows, and tuff.

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K Houle) - Anomalous copper, zinc, and gold values were uncovered in an old trench by Noranda Exploration during a mapping program. The trench, as described in the Noranda report, contains an interflow sequence of sugary white quartz, rusty quartz-sericite schist, grey felsic tuff, and minor graphitic sediments (argillite). This sequence of rocks is reported to be exposed over a width of 7 feet.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K Houle) - The mineralized section of the trench is reported to be 3 feet wide and contains 1-3% disseminated pyrrhotite, and trace to 1% chalcopyrite. Mineralization is associated with interbedded felsic tuff and graphitic argillite. A grab sample taken from this trench, by Noranda, returned assays of; 0.28% Cu, 0.43% Zn, and 0.018 oz./t Au.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - A grab sample collected by the OGS in 1994 returned assays of: 0.2 g/t Ag, 0.0051% Ni, 0.0165% Cu, 0.0098% Zn; 0.01 g/t Au, 1.7 g/t Ag, 0.0102% Ni, 0.204% Cu, 0.233% Zn.

Jun 19, 2013 (P Bousquet) - DDH BL-84-1 intersected 0.3 metres of a sulphidized felsic tuff which returned an assay of 2900 ppm Cu and 2200 ppm Zn (TI-1588).
