Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (S Fumerton) - Marl forms a fine grained coating on boulders and trees within three lakes. The coating is less than 2cm thick on rocks just below the surface, is a light brown to off-white sludge and is mixed with a green algal growth. On the lake bottom the material appears to be thicker and with less algal growth. There are no known carbonate rich tills in the immediate area of these lakes.
