Lithology Data
Rock Type Rank Composition Texture Relationship
Ultramafic lava flow-unsubdivided 1 Serpentinite Flow Contains
Peridotite 2 Peridotite Serpentinized Contains

Lithology Comments

Jun 29, 2009 (D Draper) - Hole intersected spinifex-textured and strongly magnetic serpentinite flows, and also units of dunite, peridotite and dacite.

Mineralization Comments

Jun 29, 2009 (D Draper) - Grab samples from the uppermost serpentinite flow unit returned assays of 1350ppm, 1570ppm, 1000ppm and 2240ppm Ni. Samples from peridotite returned Ni values of 1740ppm, 1350ppm, 1700ppm. No sulphides noted in these units. An assay of 1010ppm copper was reported from dacite fragmental unit mineralized with pyrrhotite, pyrite and chalcopyrite. Note: Asbestos fibres were observed in a surface exposure near the drill collar and also throughout the core, with the highest concentration coinciding with the highest Ni assay obtained. (T-1744) Subsequent core assay results obtained by D.V. Mullen were 960ppm Ni and 1700ppm over two 10-foot intervals, taken at 65ft and 180ft. (TI 2321)
