Oct 11, 2011 (A Wilson) - Narrow calcite veins are hosted within a 500 foot thick, southwest dipping sill of Nipissing diabase. The sill intrudes Gowganda conglomerate near the Archean basement. Multiple veins are present on the property. One set of veins strikes N10-25E and the other strikes at right angles to this. The vein structures appear to be more of the nature of fractures than faults.
