1909-1910: Langham Cobalt Mines Ltd. - shaft sinking, underground development, prospecting, stripping, Gavin Hamilton shaft sunk to 160 ft and Langham Cobalt Shaft sunk to 60 ft.; Gavin Hamilton shaft is in SW corner of NE1/4 of S1/2 of Lot 1 Con 3; Langham shaft is 450 west. 1963: McAdam Mining Corp. Ltd. - DD

Lithology Comments

Oct 11, 2011 (A Wilson) - A N75W trending lineament passes to the north of the Gavin Hamilton shaft. The Langham shaft was sunk on a 10 inch wide calcite vein containing brecciated diabase fragments. The vein is vertical and strikes N50E. The Gavin Hamilton shaft was sunk on the No 3 vein which ranges from 4 to 24 inches in width

Oct 11, 2011 (A Wilson) - Assays from the sampling completed by Langham Cobalt Mines Limited include: 54.30 oz/t Ag from No 1 vein. 15.00 oz/t Ag from No. 2 vein, 3.60 oz/t Ag from No. 3 vein, 2.60 oz/t Ag from No. 4 vein, 9.70 oz/t Ag from No. 5 vein and 1583.00 oz/t Ag from the No. 6 vein. The veins reportedly strike east-west. Assays from diamond drilling completed by McAdam Mining Corp. in 1963 include: 529 oz/t Ag over 8 inches, 871 oz/t Ag over 4.5 inches and 91 oz/t Ag over 3.5 inches.
