1926 - Ontario Department of Mines samples from shaft returned values as high as 29.09 ounces per ton Au. 1929 - Buckingham Mining Co. drilled 3 holes with encouraging results. However, the company declared bankrupcy and ceased work on the property. 1959 - Central Porcupine Mines drilled eight short drill holes, assays ran from 0.03 to 1.3 ounces per ton. 1990 - Asquith Resources cut a total of 301 channel samples along the shear zone. Two areas of significant gold mineralization were identified immediately west of the Buckingham Shaft. Assay values of up to 1.94 ounces per ton gold across 2.0 feet were returned from this area. A fifty foot trench west of the shaft returned values up to 0.69 ounces per ton Au across 6.0 feet. A little more than one third of the channel samples taken returned values more than 500 ppb Au. 1999 - Larry Salo drilled four holes. Assays from hole SL2-99 returned values as high as 0.96 g/t Au. Hole SL3-99 returned values of up to 2.83 g/t Au with an average grade of 1.72 g/t over 4.6 m. Hole SL4-99 intersected values of 1.5 g/t over 3.6 meters.
