Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (D Guidon) - In the area of the showing, mafic amygdaloidal and pillowed basalts are cut by noth -trending narrow diabase dikes and north trending quartz porphyry. Veins are hosted in west-trending shear zones. A major shear zone is reported to be located under the lake and to be northwest-trending. Slatey pyritic north-trending shear zones have been identified cutting and offsetting the quartz veins. Series of quartz veins, from a few inches to 2 feet, most trending westerly host the deposit. Approximately 40 veins were identified in exploration.

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (D Guidon) - Series of quartz veins, from a few inches to 2 feet, most trending westerly. Approximately 40 veins were identified in exploration. Most of the veins are hosted in amylygdaloid and pillowed basalt. The veins are in turn cut by north trending diabase dikes. On the west side of the lake, veins are hosted by quartz porphyry schist.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (D Guidon) - Spectacular visible gold was reported to be found erratically in the veins. Bulk sampling returned high silver grades. Black tourmaline needles were found in the veins Chalcopyrite and molybdenite is reported to have been observed. Slatey pyrite-rich banded shear zones cut and offset quartz veins.

Site Visit Information

Date: Aug 22, 2000

Geologist: D Guidon

Notes: Property visit with Tom O'Connor June 23, 2000. Looked at open cut and filled in shaft (No.2) on east shore. Quartz vein in open cut about 30 cm wide striking 205-80. Pyritic shear zone, about 1 m wide at 140-55. Shear zone has dextral offset offset of about 5 m occurring within the rock cut. According to old reports, the main quartz vein carried significant visible gold in the 5 m section. A second 2 cm quartz vein strikes at 230-55. Samples: 00301 - pyritic shear zone material from southeast side of open cut. 00302 - mafic vilcanic material from northeast end of open cut next to main vein. 00303 - mafic volcanic material away from vein. 00304 - vein material collected from rock pile just to northwest of open cut. Photos: 730085 - shore near No.2 shaft area. 730086 - veiw of No.1 shaft area from No.2 shaft area. 730087 - waste rock from No.2 shaft spreading into lake. 730088 - Site of entrance way into rock cut and No.2 shaft. No.2 shaft was located at the beginning of the rock cut. 730089 - Pyritic slatey shear on the side of the rock cut near the location of the No.2 shaft. The vein enriched in gold where it intersected and off set the shear. Dip to west. 730090 - Quartz vein at the east end of the rock cut. 730091 - Narrow quartz-carbonate vein on the north wall of the rock cut. This vein diagonally crosses the main vein. 730092 - Looking west out of the rock cut to the lake. Trees are growing out of the filled in No.2 shaft. Tom O'Connor stands just beyond the trees. Looked at veins to east of shaft: Samples: 00305 - vein material from pit on 101a vein about 100 m to east of shaft. Photos 730093 - Tom O'Connor samples a vein in a trench/pit to the southeast of the No.2 shaft. VG found in this vein according to property geology map. Crossed to west side of lake and looked at veins to southeast of No.1 shaft. Veins are narrow. Photos: 730094 - View of the No.2 shaft area from the west side of the lake.
