Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (S Fumerton) - The mineralization is hosted in a sheared zone within the Ridout Assemblage thickly bedded arenaceous rocks that occur in the area. The rocks within the shear zone are strongly altered with sericite, carbonate, and local bands of chlorite.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (S Fumerton) - Sulphides are generally disseminated within the shear zone but also occur as thin seams along the shear planes and in uncommon veins up to 10cm thick.

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Assay values up to 13 g/t Au were obtained by prospectors in 1931-33. Channel samples from the Main Zone in 1980 averaged 3.8 g/t Au over 0.9m. Channel samples from the East Zone in 1980 returned 2.7 g/t Au and values of 1.8 g/t Au across 1.2m. The South Zone reportedly returned assays oup to 7 g/t Au. Sampling by Silver Butte Resources in 1987 returned values of up to 9.6 g/t Au and 12 g/t Ag from the Main Zone, up to 1.5 g/t Au and 2.7 g/t Ag from the East Zone and up to 27 g/t Au and 5 g/t Ag from the South Zone.
