Lithology

Lithology Data
Rock Type Rank Composition Texture Relationship
Granodiorite 1 Host

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - The host rock is a mixture of typical medium- to coarse-grained granodiorite and quartz diorite which form part of the Chester Granitoid Complex. Blue opalescent quartz is pervasive, and fine, sparsely disseminated pyrite, pyrrhotite and magnetite occur in the matrix. There is a medium-grained diabase dike cutting the granodiorite.

Mineralization Comments

Oct 25, 2013 (A Wilson) - The sulplhides occur as disseminated grains, or in loose aggregates (“mottling”) in the host granodiorite. Pyrite is the dominant sulphide with the pyrrhotite tending to be confined to small slip planes. The reported assays appear to relate to the general host rock rather than any specific feature. Assays from the drill program completed in 1965 graded up to 6.5 g/t Ag and 0.07% Cu (T-2014).
