Lithology Comments

Sep 28, 2011 (A Wilson) - The ore zone is confined to a westward- plunging drag fold on the south limb of an east-plunging syncline. The drag-folded metavolcanic-metasedimentary contact trends N80W and dips steeply north. Gold-bearing quartz veins emanate from the hanging wall of a unit of unsheared rhyolite breccia and form tight fracture-fillings in a northeast-trending shear zone.

Mineralization Comments

Sep 28, 2011 (A Wilson) - Multiple ore zones have been identified. The A zone consists of the Pope Vein and two subsidiary veins the Marcasite and Chromic Veins. The Pope Vein strikes N55E, dips 75NW, is 1-2 feet in width and consists of chalcopyrite, sphalerite, galena, tetrahedrite gold and gold-silver-electrum in a gangue of quartz, calcite, siderite and sericite. The Marcasite Vein is subparallel to the Pope Vein and merges with it at depth. The vein is 10 inches wide. The Chromic Vein lies 80 ft northwest of the Pope Vein and strikes parallel to it. No ore was mined from this vein. The B Zone is composed of a single, 10 inch wide quartz vein that is exposed on the 500 foot level. The vein strikes N55E and lies approximately 500 feet west-northwest of the Pope Vein.
