Lithology Data
Rock Type Rank Composition Texture Relationship
Intermediate lava flow-unsubdivided 1 Andesite Host
Vein 2 Quartz Host
Syenite 3 Adjacent

Lithology Comments

Aug 26, 2009 (A Wilson) - The showing is described as irregular quartz veins within intermediate metavolcanic rocks, and pyritized syenite. The mineralized zones appear to be related to strong shearing that strikes N20W to N40W and dips 40-45° to the east. Some zones lie along this shearing, while others end against narrow shears. One silicified zone lies within a drag fold that plunges at 40° to the east.

Mineralization Comments

Jan 05, 2015 (A Wilson) - Grab and channel samples collected by Jonsmith Mines (1958) returned values ranging from $0.35 over 3 feet to $5.95 over 4 feet. Panning of roasted and unroasted material has determined that the values are confined to the pyrite. Chip samples collected by Moneta Mines in 1959 returned values up to $5.60 gold. Grab samples collected by Hollinger returned values up to 0.42 oz/t gold. Diamond drill hole G-4 returned assays up to 0.074 oz/t Au over 9.5 feet.
