Lithology Comments

Aug 27, 2010 (A Wilson) - These trenches expose rusty weathering, blocky jointed, dacitic agglomerate, the gossan apparently resulting from the oxidation of disseminated pyrite. Traces of sphalerite and some nodular pyrite can be seen in the south end of the main trench. 60 ft. to the north where the trench is notched on the west side, a narrow zone of shearing crosses the trench striking S80E and dipping 80S. Massive pyrite and sphalerite stringers can be seen in the shear. In the east arm of the trench incipient shearing can be seen on some E-W joint planes which are occasionally plated with sphalerite. In the north half of the trench there are 2 very narrow irregular veins about 20 ft. apart which are approximately parallel to the shearing. In the north vein massive pyrite, galena, sphalerite and traces of pyrrhotite, associated with calcite and quartz, were observed. The south vein contains stringers of sp and a little galena. In both cases there is a dissemination and plating of sphalerite in the adjacent wall rocks. All the rock exposed by the trenches

Mineralization Comments

Aug 27, 2010 (G Seim) - Grab samples collected by Buffalo Ankerite Gold Mines Ltd. from trenches in the area returned silver values up to 3.16 oz/t Preston East Dome Mines, Ltd. completed a careful channel sampling accros the zone that gave the following results: Width 2.5 ft. 2.92 Pb% 1.68 Zn% 0.08 Ag opt; Width 10.5 ft. Low Values Width 9.5 ft. 0.54 Pb% 1.03 Zn% 0.37 Ag opt; Width 55.5 ft. Low Values Width 4.0 ft. 0.51 Pb% 1.24 Zn% 0.19 Ag opt. Preston also reports that 105 ft. to the north of the lead-zinc mineralization, nickel vlaues report from a carbonated ryholitic agglomerate mineralized with varying amounts of disseminated pyrite and pyrrhotite. The pyrrhotite apparently replaces some of the fragments in the agglomerate, but the nickel values are associated with the desseminated poyrrhotite.: Width 5.0 ft. 0.25 Ni%; Width 10.0 ft. not sampled; Width 5.0 ft. 0.18 Ni%; Width 26.0 ft. not sampled; Width 22.0 ft. 0.20 Ni%. Diamond drilling by Preston East Dome returned the following assays: 0.22% Pb, 1.08% Zn and 0.39 oz/t Ag over 9.8 ft; 0.31% Pb, 1.30% Zn, 0.20 oz/ Ag over 4 ft and 0.26% Pb, 1.54% Zn and 0.26 oz/t Ag over 8 ft. Diamond drilling in the vicinity of the nickel showing returned 0.17% Ni over 45 ft. Manville (1985) reported that diamond drilling in the showing area intersected qtz-carb veins in the dacitic agglomerate which gave isolated gold values up to 0.116 opt Au. Grab samples collected by Manville Canada returned values up to 0.11 oz/t Au. The best assays from the Manville drilling returned 0.12 oz/t Au over 4 m Noranda Exploration Company Ltd. and D. Jones collected samples from the site that returned values up to 3.45% Zn, 0.17% Cu and 18.8 ppm Ag.
