Geology Comments

Apr 27, 2015 (A Wilson) - The main orebody is a tapering cone extending downward in the syenite beneath the open pit. The syenite porphyry consists of two main phases; brown syenite porphyry and brick red syenite porphyry which hosts the ore and is intrusive into the brown variety.

Mineralization Comments

Apr 27, 2015 (A Wilson) - The ore-bearing syenite porphyry contains 2% disseminated pyrite which carries 30-50% of the gold as fine, included grains. Superimposed on this mineralization are near-microscopic fractures containing visible gold. The disseminated pyrite containing these fractures is ore if it averages more than 0.11 oz. /t Au.
