Lithology

Lithology Data
Rock Type Rank Composition Texture Relationship
Syenite 1 Porphyritic, Sheared Contains
Vein 2 Quartz Sheared Host
Sandy Conglomerate 3 Greywacke, Conglomerate Sheared Adjacent

Lithology Comments

Apr 28, 2015 (A Wilson) - It was observed that chalcopyrite mineralization increases at the contacts of syenitic porphyry both within the porphyry itself and in the country rocks that it intrudes which are usually highly silicified by the intruding porphyry. The mineralization in the porphyry is usually associated with quartz (silica) stringers and veinlets. Syenite porphyry in the west portion of the property takes the form of two nearly parallel, but converging dikes. These dikes are 100' wide by 1000 ft. long and 125ft wide by 2,000 ft. long and intersect both greywacke type sediments and conglomerate rocks.

Mineralization Comments

Apr 28, 2015 (A Wilson) - The economic mineralization appears to be related to quartz veining and silicification. Massive textures are observed at the contacts of syenite porphyry with sediments, and homogenous dissemination is observed throughout the silicified syenite porphyry mass. Locally, there is intense reddish alteration of syenite porphyry along the borders of the quartz veins, apparently due to hematitization. Assays from DDH 74-1 returned values of 0.10% Cu, 0.05 oz./t Ag, tr Au over 9 ft.; 0.17%Cu, 0.13 oz./t Ag, 0.005 oz./t Au over 10.5 ft. Concentrations of economic minerals diminished with depth.
