Access Description: Access is on foot or by all-terrain vehicles across wet organic terrain. The site is also accessible by foot or all terrain vehicle along the hydro transmission line corridor east from highway 65.

Jun 21, 2012 (A Wilson) - The site is approximately 1200 ha in size. The area with a peat thickness equal to or greater than 1m covers 563 ha. The deposit extends along a north-south axis for approximately 5 km. The maximum width is about 1.4 km. The deposit is confined to the east and west by bedrock ridges and till covered bedrock.
Jun 21, 2012 (A Wilson) - The average thickness of surficial peat is 1.5 m and average thickness of humified peat is 3 m. Maximum peat depth encountered was 6.1 m at the northern centre of the deposit. Total peat volume is estimated at 16.7 million m3 and humified peat volume is estimated at 9.79 million m3. The site has potential as a category A peat fuel deposit.
