Jun 28, 2024 (Nazha Sabiri) - Radioactive mineralization consists of small amounts of pitchblende in a carbonate vein along the contact between diabase and conglomerate. A selected sample assayed 1.56% uranium as U3O8 equivalent (R250, p. 55). A 1953 property visit report by RGP staff noted gold assays up to $4.00 per ton (year of assays not provided) and less than a 1 oz/t of silver. Visually, chalcopyrite and specularite are abundant, while bornite is minor. The radioactive mineral appears to be associated with chlorite (File CO-2144). Grab samples by Temex Resources Corp. assayed up to 812 ppm uranium, with corresponding values above 10,000 ppm copper (over detection limit), 27 ppm silver, and 0.94 g/t gold (File 20000003502). Drill hole TME-07-10 intersected 0.21 g/t gold and 8.0 ppm silver over 0.80 m in a potassically altered sandstone unit with trace amounts of chalcopyrite. TME-07-11 interested a 1.0 m long interval, near a brecciated zone with calcite-quartz veins that assayed 0.39 g/t gold and 7722 ppm copper; and a 1.50 m interval, with a quartz-calcite-specular hematite vein that assayed 0.31 g/t gold and 5874 ppm copper (File 20000003502).
