Access Description: From the Swastika train station, follow ONR tracks 500 m east. The site is 100 m north of the railway. Follow the trail at a point 20 m west of where tracks split into a siding.
1910-1912: Lucky Cross Mines Limited – inclined shaft developed to 200 ft., in production. 1915-1916: Tretheway Silver-Cobalt Mining Company Limited – underground development, de-watering. 1922-1923: Kirkland Gateway Gold Mines Limited – shaft deepened, underground development, diamond drilling. 1933: leased to Lucky Cross Leasing Syndicate. 1934-42: Golden Gate Mining Company Limited – property leased in dewatering, underground development, DD-10-1120 ft (surface), DD-33,552 ft (underground), trenching. 1947- Kirkland Golden Gate Mines Limited – property acquisition. 1974-75: Gateford Mines Ltd. – DD-18-5781.5 ft, assays, compilation, ground geophysics. 1978-79: Queenston Gold Mines Ltd. – mapping, ground geophysics, DD-3-2110 ft. 1980-81: Steep Rock Iron Mines Ltd. – mapping, DD-12-6000 ft. 1988: Golden Crescent Resources – DD-3-6420 ft.

Oct 20, 2014 (A Wilson) - The main vein system strikes 55E and dips 70NW. There are two other vein systems at the mine. One system strikes east-west and the other strikes north-south.

Oct 20, 2014 (A Wilson) - Total estimated production from the Lucky Cross property was 80694 tonnes, valued at $957,038.00. Gateford DDH 74-2 returned a best assay of 0.32 oz/t Au and 0.01 oz/t Ag over 5 ft in a quartz vein in syenite. A resampling of the same section yielded an assay of 0.319 oz/t Au over 3.1 ft. A quartz stringer in DDH 74-4 returned an assay of 1.35 oz/t Au over 1.2 ft in a syenite. A quartz vein in Gateford DDH 74-6 returned 11.18 oz/t Au over 1.0 ft.
