Point Location Description: Approximate location of Shaft

Location Method: Conversion from MDI

Access Description: Grenfell Road leads west from Highway 11 at Kenogami and passes within 2,000 ft of the property along the eastern boundary of Bompas Township. The road is maintained year-round for about 3 miles from the Trans-Canada where it becomes passable only by pickup truck. A trail was cut in June of 1991, from Grenfell road to the # 1 shaft. The trail is passable by light all-terrain vehicles, only.



Exploration History

1991: Michael Leahy: diamond drilling of three holes 1990-91: Magnetic, electromagnetic and self-potential surveys were performed. 1949: W.S. Savage, Resident Geologist (ODM): searched the property for uranium mineralization 1920's: sinking of two shafts to depths of 50 ft and 40 ft in shaft # 1 and shaft # 2, respectively.

Mineralization Comments

Apr 22, 2010 (J Suma-Momoh) - Gold assays of 0.13 to 1.28 oz/t have been reported. REF: Report by L.K. Oliver, in KL 2557. Number 1 shaft was sunk on a quartz vein, 1 to 2 ft wide, which strikes S78E and dips 80S. Gold values up to 1 oz/t are reported. REF: KL 2703. A grab sample of arkose from the # 2 shaft dump returned 4220 ppm Cu and 5540 ppm Pb; other assays of grab samples from the same site returned lower values. REF: In KL 2992.
