Location Method: Conversion from MDI

Access Description: Access to the property is by means of float or ski-equipped aircraft or by means of boat or snowmobile north, along the Montreal River from South Porcupine. Alternatively, a bush road about four miles long, north from highway 566, provides access to the west half of the property group.



Exploration History

1985: Hanson Mineral Exploration Ltd: diamond drilling of three holes (no commercial values obtained) 1984: Hanson Mineral Exploration Ltd: ground geophysical surveys (magnetic and VLF electromagnetic). No major zones were outlined. 1971: Melville Mines and Industries Ltd: geological mapping, magnetic and electromagnetic surveys 1957: Geophysical Engineering and Surveys Ltd: electrical resistivity and self potential survey (no significant anomalies revealed on the property) 1936: Woman River Gold Mines: acquired the claim; diamond drilling of four holes 1935: Dyer: described a gold occurrence on the claim 1934: W.T. Robson: he saw visible gold in a lens 2 ft long in an irregular quartz stringer 40 ft long on the claim; much trenching and pitting

May 27, 2010 (J Suma-Momoh) - The Montreal River Fault lies to the east of the gold showing. It is a regional structure and trends to the north-west.

Mineralization Comments

May 27, 2010 (J Suma-Momoh) - Four holes were diamond drilled by Woman River Gold Mines in 1936. Three holes were barren and the fourth is said to have assayed 1.14 oz of gold per ton over a core length of 40 feet. REF: KL 2857. In 1934, W.T. Robson saw visible gold in a lens 2 ft long in an irregular quartz stringer 40 ft long on the claim.



Alteration Comments

May 27, 2010 (J Suma-Momoh) - There are some zones of shearing with Silicification and pyritization on the property. REF: ODM 1935, AR 44, Part 2, page 48.
