Geology Comments

Mar 31, 2010 (J Suma-Momoh) - The Rogers vein lies within a schisted zone striking N20°W and dipping steeply to the east along the creek bed. Free gold was discovered in quartz, dipping in the creek bed. REF: Goldyke Mines Ltd. Vice-President's Report (dated June 8, 1946) in KL 1016.

Lithology Comments

Mar 31, 2010 (J Suma-Momoh) - 'Occasionally the gold-bearing quartz veinlets pass from the felsite dyke into the adjoining Keewatin for several hundred feet, as for example, on the Rogers claim. Up to the present the richer showings have come from a 5-inch quartz vein in Keewatin diabase on the Rogers claim.' REF: ODM 1924, AR VOL 33, PT3, P38, first paragraph.

Mineralization Comments

Mar 31, 2010 (J Suma-Momoh) - In the 1986 diamond drilling program, the best intersection was 0.06 oz/t Au, over 1.4 feet. REF: Diamond Drill Record, Hole 86-8, in KL 0136. Chip samples from the Rogers vein have returned 0.015 oz/t and 0.012 oz/t Au. REF: Assay results from X-Ray Assay Laboratories (dated 06-Sept-84) in KL 0136.

Alteration Comments

Mar 31, 2010 (J Suma-Momoh) - 'All the rocks have experienced varying degrees of carbonatization, and this phenomenon is especially concentrated in areas subjected to tectonic pressures (i.e., adjacent faults, etc.), and in the volcanics, at or near the intrusive contacts of felsite dykes.' REF: Geological report by Ralph V. Stewart (dated September 19, 1984; page 7) in KL 0136.
