Access Description: The property may be reached from Timmins via highway 101 and the Gibson Lake road, and then by using a series of lumbering roads which reach near the south end of a long narrow lake that touches the north-western corner of the claim block, a distance of 58 miles. It is also accessible from Kirkland Lake by going through the town of Matachewan, then following secondary roads westward and then northward to a point about one mile south of the claim group, a distance of 70 miles.

1987-1988: Kerr Addison Mines Ltd:- ground geophysical survey (magnetic and electromagnetic) 1986: Argyle Ventures Inc:- diamond drilling 1984: Argyle Ventures Inc:- geological mapping, stripping, trenching and sampling 1983: Argyle Ventures Inc:- staking, control grid layout, ground geophysical survey (magnetic and VLF electromagnetic survey) 1946: Goldyke Mines Ltd:- trenching and diamond drilling 1924: McNeil Syndicate:- shaft sinking on the Micmack claim 1923: Discovery of gold in the McNeil Township by three Indians. The claim (Micmack) is named after the founder. It was among the first three gold discoveries in the Township.

Geology Comments

Mar 26, 2010 (J Suma-Momoh) - The Micmack Dyke strikes about east-northeast and dips 80° south. “The Isador Dyke has been traced by outcrops and trenches along strike into a similar dyke called the 'Micmack' and further east again…if these are all parts of one dyke, it is nearly one mile long.” (REF: ODM 1935, AR 44, Part 2, Page 49)

Mineralization Comments

Mar 26, 2010 (J Suma-Momoh) - 'In a pit on the Micmack claim, the quartz veins are closely spaced and most of them carry visible gold.' REF: ODM, AR 1924, Vol. 33, Part 3, Page 38 (first paragraph). It is in the felsite lenses where local occurrences of native gold can be found, associated with coarse pyrite mineralization and quartz stringers which form a ladder structure within these lenses. Disseminations of pyrite occur between the quartz stringers and are more concentrated near the stringers. The free gold is usually found in areas of pyrite disseminations, but in some cases, it is found within the quartz. REF: Geological Report (by John R. Boissoneault, dated August 30, 1983; page 6) in KL 0136. Trench samples from the Micmack Dyke have returned trace to 0.009 oz/t Au. Trench samples from other dykes parallel to and close to the Micmack Dyke have returned 0.001 to 0.014 oz/t Au. (REF: Assay results from X-Ray Assay Laboratories Ltd., dated 06-Sept-84; In KL 0136).



Alteration Comments

Mar 26, 2010 (J Suma-Momoh) - 'All the rocks have experienced varying degrees of carbonatization, and this phenomenon is especially concentrated in areas subjected to tectonic pressures (i.e., adjacent faults, etc.), and in the volcanics, at or near the intrusive contacts of felsite dykes.' REF: Geological report by Ralph V. Stewart (dated September 19, 1984; page 7) in KL 0136.
