Lithology Comments

Feb 08, 2012 (A Wilson) - Trenching has exposed two separate, parallel veins roughly 150 feet apart. Elevated copper values were returned from iron formation in contact with rhyolitic agglomerate.

Mineralization Comments

Feb 08, 2012 (D Draper) - Grab samples taken by D. Healey from existing pits and trenches near the powerline (possibly in the vicinity of the origninal sampling site; unable to determine an exact location correlation) returned up to 4580 ppm Cu (T-3698)

Feb 08, 2012 (A Wilson) - A 5 ft long chip sample collected from the #1 West Cut in 1943 returned 0.14 oz/t Au and 5.20% Cu. The trenches showed well defined pyrrhotite veins from 10-40 feet in width. The pyrrhotite veins are north-trending and dip 70° east. Pyrite, pyrrhotite with lesser amounts of chalcopyrite occur as streaks and along fractures at the margins of the iron formation and as disseminations in the rhyolite agglomerate. Grab samples collected by the OGS in 1977 returned values ranging from 0.10 to 0.54% Cu. The best nickel value was 0.08%.
