Lithology Comments

Aug 13, 2007 (A Wilson) - Diamond drilling by Hollinger in 1974 intersected sheared quartz diorite. A sulphide-bearing quartz-breccia zone returned elevated copper values. The drill hole ended in peridotite, which returned elevated nickel values.

Mineralization Comments

Sep 08, 2014 (D Draper) - Between 1971 and 1974, Hollinger drilled 6 holes in the southern half of former claim P.278732; assay results for 5 of these are on file at the Timmins RRGO (most samples over 5ft sections of core): FP5-1-71 - 9200 ppm Cu; FP5-2-71 - 13,500 ppm Cu in quartz diorite; 5900 ppm Cu in andesite; FP5-3-71 - 12,100 ppm Cu; FP5-4-71 - 2000 ppm Cu in diorite; 1860 ppm Ni in peridotite; FP5-6-74 - 0.31% to 0.70% Cu over 7ft A grab sample collected in 1992 by Filo and Jones from a pit in the vicinity of Hollinger’s drilling returned 0.39% Cu.
