Lithology Comments

Sep 20, 2012 (D Draper) - Amador hole FP-08-02A was drilled vertically to a depth of 50m in the vicinity of the original Hollinger surface showing. It intersected 6.4m of mafic volcanic before entering diorite to the end of the hole.

Mineralization Comments

Sep 08, 2014 (D Draper) - Pyrrhotite, pyrite and chalcopyrite mineralized the mafic volcanic unit in FP-08-2A, with quartz-carbonate stringers carrying sphalerite and galena occurring near its lower contact with the diorite. Samples taken over 3.6m of the volcanic returned up to: 1.83% Cu, 1.01% Zn, 0.73% Ni, 47.5 ppm Ag, 371 ppm Co and 1963 ppm Pb.

Sep 20, 2012 (A Wilson) - A grab sample from a pit collected by Filo and Jones in 1992 returned 0.47% Ni. Grab samples from the same area have returned values up to. 0.50% Ni. Hollinger geologists noted that the pentlandite was violarized.

Date: Aug 05, 2010

Geologist: B Atkinson

Notes: Recent activity noted included power stripping of the trenches, recent line cutting and diamond drilling. One drill hole with casing removed was located at NAD 83, Zone 17, 470358E, 5341972N. Stripped outcrop of mafic flows with polysuturing and one area has what looks like poorly developed spinifex but the rocks appear to be mafic and not komatiitic. Sulphides occur as small patches and burns within the mafic flows. A 3 foot wide quartz vein with minor pyrite trends 125 and was sampled for gold with negative results. Outcrops at the shore of Bruce Lake consist of coarse-grained gabbro.
