Lithology Comments

Sep 08, 2014 (D Draper) - The McCoshen-Sandrelli trenches were located on the SW side of the trail near its junction with the main road that parallels the Fripp-McArthur township border. This junction is located near the 3 ½ mile marker on the border. The lithology exposed in the 2 trenches was mainly tuffs, associated fragmentals and gneiss. The tuff strikes az 125 deg and dips steeply to the north. This unit is sheared, silicified and contains quartz stringers. On the northeast side of the trail, Northgate trenching exposed a unit of lapilli tuff with chert bands (also referred to as iron formation on submitted geology maps). This unit could be traced for over 800 feet.

Mineralization Comments

Sep 08, 2014 (D Draper) - The mineralized zone (pyrrhotite and pyrite) in the McCoshen-Sandrelli Trench 1 is up to 15ft (4.6m) in width. Samples taken by ODM staff returned up to 0.4% Zn. Sandrelli reported that a grab sample returned up to 1/5th of an ounce of gold (approximately 6.8 g/t). Northgate AVE T-1 trench was situated near the trail-main road junction and exposed disseminated to massive py, po, cpy and sph within the iron formation unit. The best assay returned 1.010% Zn over 1.2 ft from the SW end of the trench. A further assay of 0.591% Zn was obtained from trench AVE T-2, situated 55m NW of T-1.
