Aug 26, 2009 (A Wilson) - Gledhill described the occurrence as consisting of feldspar porphyry cutting mafic metavolcanics and cherty iron formation. The mafic metavolcanics and the iron formation is highly pyritized. Diamond drilling by Dowa Mining intersected a sequence of intermediate tuff and sericite-chlorite schists. The schist commonly is silicified. Tri-Origin mapped a sequence of quartz crystal tuff, iron formation and komatiitic flows in the vicinity of the showing.

Aug 26, 2009 (A Wilson) - In 1982 Amax of Canada Ltd. collected a grab sample of sulphide rich iron formation that assayed 5.48 ppm Au. Gledhill reported that panned material from the iron formation sometimes yielded finely divided gold. Visible gold was observed in a quartz vein in the vicinity of the showing by A. Hopkins in 1949, but no assays were reported. Grab samples collected by Tri Origin returned a best assay of 144 ppb Au
