Lithology Comments

Aug 31, 2007 (G Seim) - The original Road Showing consists of quartz veining contained within a Fe-carbonitized syenite intrusive. The syentie is contained withing a several hundred metre wide shear zone that trends 025 to 060 . The syenite is cut by op to 10% 0.5 to 5 cm quartz veinlets. These are of at least 2 ages, a 060 set cuts a 335 set. Pyrite is associted with the quartz veining, but locally is disseminated through the rock in the absence of quartz. Examination of the detailed geology in relation to past assay results did not reveal a direct association between quartz or sulphide content and gold tenure. Magnetite filled fratures are located throughout the outcrop. About 100 m north of the Road Showing at UTM 483848E 5324008N is a shear parallel felsite dike. This is know as the North Zone. The south side of this 3 m dike consistantly carries between 1 and 2 g/t Au with no visible sulphides nor large quartz veins. The rock has a dominant fracture at 350/80E with some fractures filled with 1 - 5 mm quartz veinlets. The host rock to these occurrences in mafic metavolcainc pillowed and massive flows. The degree of shearing is variable as is the intensity and pervasiveness of FE carbonate alteration. Zone hilghly carbonatized rock has by other geologist been interpreted as ultramafic in composition.

Mineralization Comments

Aug 31, 2007 (A Wilson) - Grab samples returned assay values up to 2600 ppb Au. A chip sample collected by Bruce in 1990 returned 3500 ppb Au over 1 m. Systematic sampling across the 6m width yielded assays ranging from 0.36 g/t Au to 3.5 g/t Au.
