Geology Comments

Mar 09, 2010 (J Suma-Momoh) - No indication of local fold structures. All carbonate and related altered zones strike between N20E and N40E, and dip sub-vertically to as shallow as 55 degrees east.

Lithology Comments

Oct 08, 2014 (A Wilson) - The original description of the property indicated that there were four, pyrite-bearing quartz vein systems striking 035° and dipping steeply west.

Mar 09, 2010 (J Suma-Momoh) - More than 70 % of outcrops located in the area are basaltic in composition. The mafic volcanics vary from medium green, chloritic and slightly soft, to dark green-black, slightly silicified to amphibolitized. Pillow shapes indicate a north to north-east strike, with tops facing south-east; they average 30 cm thick by 60 to 80 cm in length. These rocks are intruded by a variety of felsic intrusives and late diabase dykes.

Mineralization Comments

Oct 08, 2014 (J Suma-Momoh) - At least 38 samples (outcrop, grab and trench samples) have been assayed. Only one (sample OP-15: hematite-bearing, reddish-altered, chloritic shear material) returned 0.046 oz/t. At a distance of about 32 km northwest from the given UTM co-ordinates, a large northeast trending quartz vein occurs; visible gold has been found within the vein. About 30 m from the northern tip of the vein is a shaft, and along the strike of the quartz vein and shaft are at least four trenches.

Alteration Comments

Oct 08, 2014 (J Suma-Momoh) - Alteration within the mafic volcanic rocks seems to be confined to north-northeast trending zones, several metres long and several meters wide. These zones consist of (a) massive, moderate to strongly carbonatized, with local silicification, disseminated pyrite mineralization, minor green mica, and frequent quartz stringers and (b) sheared zones with carbonate, chlorite, sericite, abundant disseminated pyrite, minor green mica and sub-parallel quartz veins and lenses that swell to widths of several meters in places.
