Geology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (G Seim) - This ocurrence consists of a number of diamond drill hole intersection testing for Cu-Ni mineralization along the contact(s) of ultramafic intrusions. The drilling was spread over a 1 sq. km area. The location chose for this occurrence is the approximate collar of Rio Tinto's hole 8 that intersected 10 ft. grading 0.11% in serpentinized dunite.

Lithology Comments

Aug 19, 2009 (A Wilson) - The drill hole intersected a sequence of diabase, gabbro and serpentinized peridotite and dunite. The drill hole terminated in a dacitic flow. Some bladed (spinifex?) textures were observed in dunite between 194 and 210 feet.

Mineralization Comments

Aug 19, 2009 (A Wilson) - The mineralization described in most of the drill hole is nickeliferous pyrrhotite and nickeliferous pyrite. On occasion pentlandite was also identified in the logging. The sulphides are generally disseminated though locally stringers are noted. Sulphide concentrations vary from 2% to 15%. The only assay available from the drilling is for a 10 ft. intersection in hole 8 that returned 0.11% Ni. Diamond drilling completed to the northeast of DDH 8 intersected disseminated sulphides in hanging wall intermediate to felsic metavolcanics. The sulphides consist of chalcopyrite, sphalerite and pyrite
