Exploration History

1976 Gulf Mineral LTD completed 8 diamond drill holes on 2 properties in SE Zavitz Tp. Occurrence grade nickel intercepts were cut in 4 widely spaced ddh all located to the S and W of Moray Lake. A MDI record exists for each drill hole. DDH Z-2 cut a sequence of felsic metavolcainics and graphitic argillites intruded by serpentinized ultramafic rock. From 332 ft. down the hole to 460 ft.down the hole a highly crushed and brecciated zone consisting of white to green friable material with abundant oxide stain was intercepted. A 80 foot wide section of this intercept averaged 0.19% Ni.
