Point Location Description: Pit and Po,py notation on map in SE corner of Map 2290
Location Method: Based on Assessment
Access Description: Follow Pine Street south from Timmins. About 2 km east of the Dexter Creek crossing, a 500 - 600 m northward travers through the bush will lead to the occurrence area. There may be the remnants of drill trails in this area.
In 1974, R. Rousseau and R. Rochon completed several trenches in the occurrence area. In 1975 Rio Tinto Canadian Exploration Ltd. completed geological mapping of the RandR option. In 1976 and 1977 that company complete 12 diamond drill holes in the SW corner of Zavitz Tp. Holes 1,2,3 and 9 targeted this mineralization The target of hole 9 was a low grade zinc zone intersected in hole 3. No assays are available for this drilling, but the concentrations of sphalerite, chalcopyrite and galena suggest possibly interesting results. It should be noted that hole 2 intersected the sp, cp, gn mineralization in what was logged as an altered ultramafic and hole 3 also interected Cu-Ni mineralization is a Serpentinized peridotite. The latter is documented as another occurrence along with other drilling targeting the Cu-Ni target.

Dec 07, 2005 (G Seim) - The surface mineralization occurs in a rhyolite breccia while the drill hole intersections indicate both rhyolite and rhyolite breccia and altered ultramafics.

Dec 07, 2005 (G Seim) - The sp,cp,gn are associated with the felsic metavolcanics. The pentlandite is associated with a serpentinized peridotie.
Dec 07, 2005 (G Seim) - The ultramafic rocks have been serpentinized and also altered to talc. Carbonate and chlorite alteration is noted in the rhyolites.
