Aug 19, 2009 (A Wilson) - The mineralization is hosted within a carbonatized dacitic breccia. The drill hole intersected a sequence of intermediate to felsic tuffs and breccias. Mapping by Essex Minerals shows that the drill hole is located roughly at the contact between intermediate to mafic rocks in the north and intermediate to felsic rocks in the south. Narrow quartz veins were observed in a brecciated and sericitized outcrop adjacent to the drill hole.

Aug 19, 2009 (A Wilson) - A 2 foot section of core returned 0.041% Cu, 0.15% Zn and 0.22% Ni. The mineralized sections of core have up to 5% sulphides within an unidentified black matrix. MDC 18 reports chip samples from pits and trenches assayed 0.09 to 0.11 oz/t Au. These analyses may have been from sites located to the north in Zavitz Township that were prospected by Vipond and Heard in the 1940s.
