Lithology Comments

Aug 31, 2007 (A Wilson) - The geology consists of highly foliated and sheared felsic quartz-eye and sericite rich schists intruded by a series of mafic, intermediate and felsic dikes. The Felsic volcanics are strongly schistose and display strong carbonate and sericite alteration near the albitite dike contacts. Away from the albitite, the felsic volcanics become less carbonatized and pervasively serictized and chloritized.

Mineralization Comments

Aug 31, 2007 (G Seim) - Occurrence grade gold assay (737 ppb Au) was received from an interval of mafic volcanic rock intruded by a 20 cm thick microsyenite/aplite. Occurrence grade gold assay (2774 ppb Au) was received from a portion of a feldspar porphyry dyke that is well quartz veined and has 1-3% py. Galena or Moly may be present in the porphyry. Grab samples from the Kes trench returned values up to 4286 ppm Au from an albitite.
