Geology

Province: Superior

Subprovince: Abitibi

Terrane: Wawa-Abitibi

Belt: Abitibi

Tectonic Assemblage: Deloro

Geological Age: Archean

Geology Comments

Oct 08, 2014 (D Guidon) - The property is located in a WNW trending Archean volcanic sequence comprising felsic, mafic and ultramafic rocks and interbedded sedimentary and volcaniclastic rocks. This sequence is intruded by a prophyritic syenite plug to the northwest of the showing. Jackson and Fyon (1991) put the sequence in the Bartlett Tectonic Assemblage. This has been reinterpreted as the Deloro Assemblage by Ayer et al. (2002).

Lithology Comments

Oct 08, 2014 (D Guidon) - DDH NOR-1 intersected felsic and or silicified volcanic tuffs and tuff breccias, intermediate tuffs and graphitic zones. Tuff breccias contained disseminated pyrite, chalcopyrite, pyrrhotite. The section 529 to 541 feet was cut by narrow quartz-carbonate stringer with slight pyrite and assayed 0.18 ounce Au per ton.

Mineralization Comments

Apr 26, 2010 (J Suma-Momoh) - A 12-foot (529-541 ft) intersection of 0.18 oz/t Au was obtained in felsic tuff breccia cut by narrow quartz-carbonate stingers in diamond drill Hole Nor-1.

Alteration Comments

Oct 08, 2014 (D Guidon) - The section 529 to 541 feet was cut by narrow quartz-carbonate stringers with slight pyrite and assayed 0.18 ounce Au per ton.
