Location Method: Data Compilation

Access Description: Follow Highway 101 west of Timmins until you reach where the Opishing River crosses the highway between Opishing and Beaucage Lakes. Take the Akweskwa Lake Access Road as far as the boat launch at Akweskwa Lake. By boat travel to the southern most bay of Akweskwa Lake. The showing is approximately 300m west of the central portion of the bay.

Lithology Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K Houle) - Anomalous Cu values reported in drill log in a unit referred to as a grey banded tuff. Unit contains some siliceous sections with the occasional quartz vein.

Mineralization Comments

Dec 07, 2005 (K Houle) - Copper mineralization is in the form of chalcopyrite stringers or veinlets associated with small zones intersecting the core axis at about 80 degrees.


Dec 07, 2005 (A Wilson) - Assays returned 0.1% Cu within chloritic shear between 107-115 feet, and 0.32% Cu within a 1 inch shear zone associated with a quartz vein at 156-157 feet.

Notes: An attempt was made to locate the drill collar but since the time of drilling the area has been clear-cut and replanted making it very difficult to find traces of drilling prior to the logging.
